I could see you're danced out but the songs won't let you sit
In a dusty shed we danced at the front
Pull dusty shapes
Later that night you slept on a makeshift records pillow
So when we saw bands we stood at the back
It changed your views
I remember those baselines and jumping on off-times and drinking dusty pints
The act's mundane: the conclusion's great
That it seems totally worth to put community first and that's how this day works
It's odd how bedroom dancing scales

Top 50 Noodling Boys

Top fifty noodling boys supposedly of all time
We were told 'be like them' in guitar magazines
They play really fast
They call guitars an 'axe'
Noodling sounds crass
But they claim it's good
Oh top fifty noodling boys, I don't want to be like you
I'll never know why I tried, other than I was supposed too
There's no deserted crossroads here, stop working on your rock song
Because I find it all too macho, and it's gone on far too long
Guitars are trapped in a culture and it's the same one
That gives us the myth of the rock star and rock song
Don't let them pretend
We're not as good as them
The only ones who pretend
Have bought it from that myth
Oh top fifty noodling boys, I don't want to be like you
I'll never know why I tried, other than I was supposed too
You'd be solo-ing off now, if this was your song
But I find it all too macho, and it's gone on far too long
Top fifty noodling boys supposedly of all time
I can see you look down on women with your eyes
That's why we will never be friends
We will never be friends
We will never be friends
We will never be friends

Pluto

If you found a ball of ice just past Neptune
You'd do the same as we all would
You'd blob some tippex on the nearest diagram of the planets
You wouldn't wait to be told in eighty years
That, yes, it orbits round the sun in hydrostatic equilibrium
But it doesn't clear it's orbit of debris - so there!
NASA did the same
And if aliens find Pioneer
With it's nine planet diagram
They'll be searching ages
And though I'd want for Pluto to be a planet
I have to agree with Patrick Moore on this, and only this
So although I concede that Pluto is no longer a planet
Artistically we can call it what we want:
It's a spinning shining orb which dances around the perimeter of the solar system and caused a generation to look skywards - so there!!!

On level 21 I swear I ran through a ghost
We swapped sides at the same time
And after two hours of play I was bored of fruit
I was actively avoiding it
I've seen how ghost behaviour can finish off a player
Blinky for example just targets straight on top of you
Inky aims in front, Pinky seems to aim behind
But my favourite ghost is Clyde
He just comes across as shy
On level 122 turning skills
Saved my life by pixels
On level 256 things all changed
To a split screen, to a split screen
I've seen how ghost behaviour can finish off a player
Blinky for example just targets straight on top of you
Inky aims in front, Pinky seems to aim behind
But my favourite ghost is Clyde
He just comes across as shy
Bashful Clyde
And I, I could play more, right through to the dawn, but there's no way to get past this
Because I'm stuck on the kill screen, with ghosts in cascade, it's the end of the game

Falling and Laughing Birmingham, UK
Falling and Laughing are a Birmingham-ish based two piece. Over the last 15 years their still recognisable jangly indiepop
